Italian Club is a cultural organization that embraces Italian culture by eating semi-authentic food, listening to Italian music, and watching classic Italian movies. You do not have to be Italian to join. Having a healthy appreciation for pizza and coffee is more than enough!
LASA’s mission is to provide a unified community of students with Latin American heritage, other marginalized students, and those with merely an interest in Latin American culture on campus. The group meets on a regular basis in the CSDI Lounge every Tuesday at 8 PM. In addition, activities are coordinated throughout the year whether they be large and campus wide, such as our Latinx Heritage Month celebration or annual dance Viva La Noche, or more internal such as a trip to a local authentic restaurant or Latinx themed movie. We aim to make the Latinx students at JCU feel at home and to raise understanding and appreciation of our cultural traditions and values for the university at large.
MESA’s goal is to introduce students to the diverse cultures, people, and ideas of the Middle East. We are inclusive to all students from all backgrounds and we encourage all students to attend our events. Some of our main events include: Middle Eastern Dinners, Paint your Name in Arabic, and an annual Hafleh (festival).
SASA is a club for students from a South Asian background to meet and interact. It is also a club for anyone and everyone with an interest in South Asian Culture or who would like to learn more about the culture.
