Four elements of the PJHR program will assist your professional discernment process and kickstart your search for the best jobs that fit your passion, skills, and goals:

  1. The courses themselves will help students develop their critical and reflective thinking through writing, discussion, and presentation.
  2. The professional development component (through Career Services) will provide a crash course on résumé-building, LinkedIn profile, interviewing skills, career fair participation, and other professional development to make the transition after graduation.
  3. Volunteer and internship opportunities, such as the summer Shepherd Intern program, gives students invaluable experience in the field.
  4. PJHR 410 requires an internship (at least 105 hours) at an organization whose mission overlaps with PJHR’s learning goals. The capstone seminar gathers all PJHR students to reflect on their experiences.
