John Carroll University is pleased to announce the recipients of its prestigious Alumni Medal including:

  • Phil Giacinti, Esq. '68 (San Diego, CA), Retired Partner at Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP;
  • Linda Meglin '74 (Cleveland, OH), President & Owner of Meglin Marketing Communications, Inc.;
  • Anthony Nader '85 (Bonita Springs, FL), Co-Founder and Partner of SWaN & Legend Venture Partners;
  • Ed Parks '61 (Birmingham, MI), Retired Partner of Plante Moran, PLLC;
  • Dan Sansone '74 (Birmingham, AL), Retired EVP and CFO of Vulcan Materials Company

The Alumni Medal is the highest award given annually by the John Carroll University Alumni Association. It recognizes an individual’s accomplishments in their profession, contributions to their community, exemplary family and personal life, and dedicated service to John Carroll University post-graduation.

The JCU Alumni Association also named the following individuals as award recipients:

  • Martina Moore, Ph.D. '01G (Euclid, OH) is a recipient of the Reverend Casey Bukala, S.J., Distinguished Achievement Award. She is the Department Chair of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at John Carroll University and CEO of Moore Counseling & Mediation Services, Inc.
  • Emily Monteleone '08 (Cleveland, OH) is a recipient of the Young Alumni Award. She is the Director of Strategic Workforce Planning at Cleveland Clinic.
  • Chris Rivero, Esq. '10 (Cleveland, OH) is also a recipient of the Young Alumni Award. He is President and a Criminal Defense & Immigration Attorney at Esparza Rivero Law, LLC.
