Interdisciplinary Concentrations and Minors in Biology
The department also offers a minor in biology and courses for the interdisciplinary minor in population and public health as well as the interdisciplinary concentrations in environmental studies and neuroscience.
As a biology student, you’ll gain a strong foundation in core biology courses with specializations in specific areas, complemented by courses from other departments. All of this will help you develop strong critical thinking and analytical skills, provide you with hands-on experience in biological techniques, and assist you in fostering creative scientific thought.
You’ll learn directly from expert faculty who will not only teach and advise you, but engage you in innovative research. These experiences, along with internships and other fieldwork, will prepare you for graduate or professional school and your future career. Our alumni have found success in career paths such as healthcare, research, education, environmental consulting, and many more.
