The school psychology program is a full-time, nationally approved, 78-semester-hour program that students complete in three years. A Master of Education degree is conferred upon satisfactory completion of specified coursework completed during the first year in the program and a written comprehensive examination. Additional coursework beyond the master’s degree and other requirements must be successfully completed prior to the awarding of the Educational Specialist degree and licensure as a school psychologist in the State of Ohio.
Applications are reviewed by program faculty three times per year. In order to be considered for admission, all application materials must be submitted to the Office of Graduate Studies by February 1 (fall semester), July 1 (late admission for fall semester), or October 15 (spring semester). A limited number of candidates can be accepted.
JCU is not currently accepting applications to the School Psychology program.
