M.S. in Social Work

Acquire a B.A. in Sociology and a MASS in Social Work in five years via the 3/2 program with John Carroll University and Case Western Reserve University’s Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences.

Through an agreement with the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences (M-SASS) at Case Western Reserve University you can receive your MASS degree in five years by enrolling in the MASS program after your Junior year at John Carroll. You would receive your BA degree upon completion of your first year at CWRU. Your will receive MASS degree (equivalent to an MSW) upon completion of your second year at the Mandell School.

Apply to the Mandel School before the end of fall semester of your junior year

  1. Demonstrate superior academic ability & achievement during your first 3 years of undergraduate study via a minimum of a 3.25 GPA
  2. Complete 90 hours of coursework and all JCU Core and Major requirements by the end of your junior year
  3. Obtain a letter of eligibility from the John Carroll University Registrar
