The Roderick Boyd Porter Scholarship Committee, with the approval of Dr. Bonnie Gunzenhauser, the Vice President of Academic Affairs, congratulates Olivia Buckel '27 and Marie Kanzinger '27 for being co-winners of the 2025 Porter Scholarship. Congratulations as well to runners-up Isabella Congelio '26, Maggie Rumelfanger '26, and Paige Smith '26.

From their intriguing essays to interview reflections, from their excellence in the classroom to their passion for and leadership in the Humanities on campus and in the community, these students model reflective, expressive, creative, and active engagement that other students can aspire to. We are grateful for all that our students do to make John Carroll a place where we encounter, reflect on, create, and celebrate the Humanities. We are enormously proud and grateful for these students' contributions to this university!
