The DIS: Study Abroad in Scandinavia (DIS) is located in Copenhagen, the capital and largest city of Denmark, and Stockholm, the capital and largest city in Sweden. DIS is a non-profit study abroad institute and classes are taught in English. DIS has 23 different academic programs and over 200 electives across disciplines, which all include coursework, field studies and study tours. Founded in 1959, DIS is affiliated with approximately 200 highly selective U.S. colleges and universities and has welcomed over 27,000 international students. Students can chose to spend a semester, an academic year, or a summer in Copenhagen or Stockholm.
Students participating in the DIS program may only take state and federal financial aid; however, DIS offers their own scholarships ranging from $500 – 5,000. Please click here for more details. Students on employee benefits packages are not eligible for these benefits on this program.
Total Semester Budget: $ 36,045
**Students living at a homestay will be provided three meals a day or two meals a day and a stipend for lunch. Students choosing to live in the dormitory will be responsible for their own meals and are provided with a stipend for groceries. Students may choose to either live in a dormitory with other Danish/Swedish and international students or with in a Danish/Swedish homestay.
