There are numerous opportunities to study abroad at John Carroll University. Students can choose from a wide variety of study abroad possibilities. In many cases students can bring scholarships, federal and state aid along to help make study abroad more affordable. It is required that students speak with a financial aid counselor to determine what aid may be applied.

Please note, only Tier 1 opportunities and Boler in France qualify for tuition exchange benefits (TEP, FACHEX, CIC, JCU Faculty/Staff waiver).

Tier 1 - student pays normal JCU tuition (and in some cases additional fees for housing) all federal, state and JCU aid applies + $1,000 study abroad fee.

Tier 2 - student pays normal JCU tuition (and in some cases additional fees for housing) all federal, state and JCU aid applies + $5,000 study abroad fee.
