John Carroll University students may study on an exchange agreement with Nanzan University. Nanzan University is located in the Japanese city of Nagoya and was founded in 1949 and today has an enrollment of more than 9,000 undergraduate students. Students attending Nanzan University enjoy a low student-to-teacher ratio, which allows students to build relationships with their professors. John Carroll University students may attend Nanzan for one semester or an entire academic year.
Students can take classes in Humanities, Social Sciences, and Japanese.
Students participating on this exchange program are eligible to take all financial aid with the exception of work-study to Nanzan University. This includes scholarships, federal, and state aid.
For further information, please contact the Center for Global Education. The deadline for applications to study abroad for Fall Semester is March 1, and for Spring Semester is September 1.
